Refund & Cancellation Policy

Refund & Cancellation Policy Overview

This policy is designed in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and standard NGO compliance practices.

1. Donation Refunds

All donations made to Hamara Sahyog Foundation are considered:

  • voluntary contributions
  • non-refundable
  • non-transferable to any person or program

However, a refund may be granted only under the following exceptional circumstances:

  • accidental duplicate payment
  • incorrect or excess bank deduction
  • payment gateway failure resulting in unintended charges

A valid refund request must be submitted within 7 days of the original transaction along with supporting proof (bank statement, payment receipt, or transaction screenshot).

2. Membership Fee Refunds

Membership fees (including the ₹99 onboarding charge) are strictly non-refundable once:

  • the membership registration form has been successfully submitted
  • the membership ID, membership card, or digital receipt has been issued

Refunds cannot be provided for reasons such as dissatisfaction, incorrect details entered by the user, or change of decision after completing the registration process.

3. Transaction Errors

If you encounter any of the following issues:

  • accidental double payment
  • payment failure where the amount was deducted
  • an incorrect or excess bank charge

Please email complete payment proof (screenshot, bank statement, transaction ID) to: contact@hamarasahyog.com

Once reviewed and approved, the refund will be processed within 7–14 working days to the original mode of payment.

4. Cancellation Policy

Since our services — including membership registration, donation processing, and welfare activity support — are non-tangible and delivered immediately, cancellations cannot be made once the transaction has been completed or processed.

5. Chargebacks

Initiating a false or fraudulent chargeback is a violation of law and may result in:

  • immediate termination of membership or services
  • recovery proceedings for the disputed amount
  • legal action under the IT Act, 2000 and IPC 420 (cheating & fraud)

Users are encouraged to contact us first to resolve any concerns before initiating a dispute with the bank.
